"The Great 11th Act is the title track to Tym's 2004 album. It's about a royal jamboree that turns into an orgy after someone slipped some aphrodesiacs into the hors d'oeuvres. It was inspired by (of all things) Lawrence Welk & his big band swing orchestra.
lyrics
Inform your dearest loved ones that you won't be home tonight
Conductor clad in sleek black leather ~ Band in overdrive
Everyone will go in pairs ~ 20,000 Fred Estaires
Masquerade and jive
Everyone will frolic in this blitz of levity
Fantasy in everyone's disguise
Conga line by Gunga Jim ~ Everyone hooks onto him
He's a wild and crazy guy ~ It's an orgy for your eyes
So for now forget the dancing and start unmasking
for the Great 11th Act
They’ll be rolling out the jesters on the shiny, checkered squares
Open up the cask of '65
The band got hate songs you'll love to hate
And love songs you'll hate to love
Megaphones, speaker cones, all of the above
Take yourself a sample of your royal just dessert
Someone stuffed some silly pills inside the grand hors d'oeurves
Maximus Lolitas prattle near the Marshall stacks
Soon they'll be unmasking for the Great 11th Act
Now forget the dancing and start unmasking
for the Great 11th Act
