The original (more primative) version of "Ear To Ear" was featured on Tym's 1988 experiemental album "Sounds For Insomniacs". This version appears on the 2001 "Dali Sky" collection. It's a song about the importance of noise.
lyrics
Hand grenades and grand parades
Snake charmers biting venomous snakes
Wild blaring speakers from TVs
Prevent the news from getting through
All eardrums they penetrate
Without silence we reclaim delights that swell our aural veins
Loud decibels in hemispheres crisscrossed in stores between our ears
No one hears and gets very far
Common words from citizens
Pig gossip passed from wolf to men
Large tihslub tosses from ear to ear
From ear to ear to ear to ear
All happy victims retreat here
Hard wrenches in a soft machine
Those spinning wheels need grease and grease
… and grease … and grease
Noise that starts the stress release
